There's not much of reason to learn text speak if you only text your father.

I thought it was some type of spectrum abbreviation like RGB.

People type in abbreviations online a lot, for some reason. I mean, twitter, I get it, but places like tumblr, spell it out folks! Don't make me go on urbandictionary like an old man!
