<- doesn't even know how much 3 yards is, but agrees the fabric looks amazing and you've got good thinking there
Death's mule librarian. The difficult we do immediately. The impossible takes a little while longer.

3 yards is approximately 2.75 meters if that helps...

Skirt update: skirt has been fully ripped and pieces have also been all cut down to tge size I need. Skirt 2.0 sewing to commence tonight. Probably just sewing the panels together and maybe adding the lining, but saving the rest of the sewing/assembly for tomorrow.

I'm going to try and get an apprenticeship at a local tattoo shop that will be opening soon.

I've had suggestions to draw celtic and tribal stuff for samples of my work...

Shark skirt is almost done! (Again...lol)
Mainly just have to sew up the side seam and add the zipper. But will probably hem the lining material first just to keep it from fraying.
The pleats don't have quite as much overlap as I was hoping for, but I have an idea for what to do for the next skirt. XD

You know good things come to those who [s]wait[/s] start over instead of being discouraged when stuff goes wrong. Understanding the basics of clothes construction already is a valuable skill, so I have no doubt you'll be rocking the most amazing skirts soon.

I'm getting sew excited! (Teehee...see what I did there?)
I sewed the side of the skirt to...almost where the zipper will attach and then pinned in the zipper and tried it on and as long as I don't massively fuck up the zipper, it's gonna fit perfectly!
But had to run out the door to work at that point so it'll be unfinished until later tonight.
Did take a pic with me holding the back together that I can share though (as soon as I get to a good wifi). It should actually look almost the same when done though maybe slightly higher waisted.

Tada! My almost, sans zipper, completed skirt!

Absolutely sharktacular ^^

Lol

Thank you! I'm pretty excited to actually wear it, which may not be until Thursday just with how much of a hot mess my work schedules are right now...

Zipper has been installed! I may have to do a tiny bit if hand stitching just to touch up one small area and it looks pretty rough in a lot of spots, but it is fully done and wearable!
