I Will Never Stop used to be one of my favorite songs until I realized how low-key creepy it is.

Wanna know something??

@Espy omg that's so funny I used to love baby it's cold outside. But it hasn't aged well lmao

I was never a cheerleader, but I knew routines from dance classes. <x}
I danced to the Burlesque song from the movie of the same title, with my Junior class. >U>; I don't think we could have gotten away with that at a co-ed school tho.

Urgh. Hated anything having to do w cheerleading as a kid. Even in preschool, anything that involved pom-poms turned me into a ball of nope.

High school, I really, really wanted to be a drummer. School band, eh, sure, but specifically of an actual band. Haha... probably not going to happen.

omg I wanted to be in drum line at my high school! But too expensive. I actually did all the girl shit. Ballet, color guard, cheerleading. My mom was real nutty about that stuff back then. Buuut now I'm grown and pay for my own classes lol so I choose what I wanna do.

My mom refused to let me take any sort of martial arts class, on account of "if anyone kicks you, they're going to send you flying to the moon". (I... was a tiny kid. I am still a mostly-tiny kid.)

My mom didn't want me to take them because I was a girl. I was so mad. My brothers got to go but never came close to finishing. I took kickboxing a few years ago and I loved it. I needed the discipline lmao now I'm taking a mixed martial arts class. Very nervous. I'm the only girl so far. But I'm not afraid.
And I can believe your tiny lol I've seen the pictures

Gods I got to my new uni and really wanted a longboard so I could get around more easily, and my dad went "only boys use those".

...Boy do I have news for you, dad.

But yeah, once I settle down a bit more, I do intend on taking aikido classes. I don't have a shitload of strength, but I do have a v good sense of balance, so I feel like that would fit.

I think you'll do awesome! After 2 years in the mixed martial arts class I can transfer to the krav maga classes. But I'll try to focus on 1 thing at a time lmao

I don't get the whole "girls are too weak for martial arts" opinion. I mean, yeah maybe someone can indeed kick a tiny, untrained little princess to the moon and further... but that's exactly why she will profit from learning how to properly block and evade blows and how to use the opponent's physical strength against them. Your moms are weird.
