That's how I felt about an RP site I was on that was invite only until I realized it was basically awful.

I'm not sure what I would do if gmail was still invite only. I make new email accounts all the time...

I hate how phones want to link all the Google accounts. I like to maintain them in different ways and would rather just log in through the app than the phone account.

Yeah, even if you don't use facebook...there's still a profile for you that tracks everything. I'm sure it's true for the others.

Also you can use addons like Ghostery or Disconnect to block at least some of the tracking. On Firefox at least. Not sure about other browsers. (*cough* Chrome *cough*)
