Microwaved stuff is always worse

reheating is the ideal use for a microwave

It depends on the vegetable, like more fibrous ones can do fine. People do whole potatoes, but not sure how that compares to the oven method.

How many hours does that take?

Not sure, don't really eat potatoes myself. Probably more like minutes.
