I love wrapping paper, but not wrapping. Have to resist piling up on nice ones because they would never be used.

Use wrapping bags!
Just as cute and much easier to use xD

But the point of the paper is all the nice designs. The bags wouldn't get used either.

you can paper sturdy bags with a bit of instant-stick glue

You could wrap it in a bit of cloth. Then it is reusable and pretty.

I don't need to wrap anything, though. Just like the paper. There doesn't need to be an alternative.
