That's fair. I keep trying to get my husband to go back to commission art. Especially in the furry community. People will pay serious bank for art.

He was mostly catering to the furry community, which luckily has a rich culture of art commissioning, so most people that approached knew the drill and did the online equivalent of having money in hand.

Yeah, I realize that a lot of people that are wanting art (especially if it is of a roleplay OC) may not be the type to actually have the money for the art they want.

I didn't realize how big the furry community actually is!

I think I've seen more and more of them coming out after Zootopia.

the furry community has been around longer than we've been recording history but i will admit there are a lot more furries who are full-in on the life now that there is a welcoming community dedicated towards it

They are much less common in the fursuiting community but there absolutely are avian, reptilian and aquatic species represented in the antro community. My husband is an avian (or feathery) but we dont fursuit. That shit's expensive and uncomfortable.

But I'm not too big into the roleplay aspect of the subculture, <x} or yeah, the idea of getting whole fursuits made, or making them yourself, it's just a bit much for me. <x'} I'm cool with just art-ing.

I have friends that only do art they don't role-play their fursona and they only go to conventions to sell their art. Nothing wrong with that at all.
