Anxiety at a time like this is entirely understandable. I can tell you all of the reassuring things, like how the virus requires damp conditions so cases should drop over the summer, or how you're young and basically healthy and following all of the safety advice.

But I know that those don't do anything about that visceral fear deep down. So I'll just say this: You're not alone in feeling like this. You're going to be okay. You're doing everything right, and you're not wrong to feel worried, so try not to let it get to you.

I've been doing what I can to avoid triggers and trying to keep my anxiety down.

I really hope that this whole thing blows over sooner than later. :(

The funny, nosy, sweethearted lady I once knew is know a mumbling 3 year old in an 80 year old's body.

If it's of any solace, at this point she probably isn't aware that her brain is acting weird. As in, she forgets and "unlearns" things, but also forgets that she's forgetting them. So in a strange way it's a more peaceful state of being for her than in the beginning while she still realizes her mind deteriorates.

(Of course it's still tough to see a person you once loved more or less vanish before your eyes. My grandpa was like that a few months before his death... *hugs*)

I think that's often why some things don't get diagnosed until after a certain age. But that's just things like personality disorders like BPD and such... At least, that's what I understood when I was in treatment as a teen.

</3 I think it's because maybe my past hurt has been on my mind lately for some reason. I'm so familiar with this odd feeling of isolation. It's the kind I used to feel when I came home from classes and thought about the people in my class who talked to me, and made friends with other people. While I returned to my cave of solitude...and thought day after day, that I was too damaged and mistrustful to ever be friends with. While also hiding my loneliness with smiles and coping with jokes...

;n; also I really miss vanilla ice cream...I could always find comfort in vanilla ice cream. </3
