I've seen the blue and green chicken eggs for sale around here.
We get all kinds of bird visitors. The woodpeckers are kind of cool but can be obnoxious. Hummingbirds get really territorial so you usually hear them dive bombing as they try to chase each other away from the feeder.
:] Where I live, I'm not sure what common birds would be considered super rare sights elsewhere. We have woodpeckers around national parks and the mountains. And humming birds come around wherever they can get nectar from flowers. ^-^
In San Gabriel valley area I always saw and heard the wild parrots flying by. :o They're green and loud but about the size of a little pigeon.
Also, there are pelicans on the piers of the beaches. X) And in the mountians where my dad lives I've seen stellars jays and robins. :)

>w< We got alotta state in California!
<xD Pretty much every terrain and topography you can think of...and it might be thanks to both earthquakes and fires. 8/
But we got birds everywhere! XD
One of my favorite birds that lives around in grassy, well grown, garden-y places are black phoebes. eWe They're cute balls of fluff with tiny head crests and a white tummy. <3
I also saw one once chase a butterfly and brutally smack it to death before swallowing it whole. O-O; I mean, they are bug-eaters after all but, woah. Fluffy don't mess around!

I had a dog that would sing and dance. But it was more woo-wooing while wiggling his butt and stepping forward a few steps and back a few steps several times. All while holding a toy in his mouth.
I'm sorry Panda. ;_;
I think I was one of the "Mambo Number 5"s of this site. I haven't been online as often as I'd like, due to increasing loneliness..
