Well, against all odds, mine actually arrived today. It's a stainless steel cup with a screw-on top with a rubberized seal in it. As a test, I put some water in it and then flipped it upside down and shook it around. And it holds just fine. Not sure about how it holds temperatures yet.
(For the record, while the one I linked and bought is ace/aro, redbubble offers a wide variety of artistic options and you can get probably anything on a travel mug.

I'll give them a look. I've seen the metal lined ones can alter flavor, but haven't tried it out.

I also seem to have too many cheeses at one time. But it at least led to a new favorite, even though it's something I've seen pretty much everywhere for quite some time. I just never realized how different it was compared to other cheeses. Brown cheese or Gjetost, basically tastes like brown butter in cheese form. But the main downside is how sticky it is. Also am loving a goat’s milk based tomme.

he does know Arizona is one of those states where cases seems to have exploded, right? tell him to stay safe out there, but that he might want to self-isolate for two weeks when he gets back...

Ugh. The worst thing about loom knitting is needing/strongly wanting a pattern for something, but it doesn't exist, so you have to either spend months to years testing and inventing a pattern or just give up and never make the cool thing.
