i finished a book too! i'm reading more Sidney Sheldon while i wait for my books from the library. the other day, my three on hold were still not actually yet in the library. today i just checked, and one's been received! this is the one that was just published yesterday, so i should be getting an email soon enough that it's there for pick-up. :)

Also, I just legit had to look up a slow motion video of a cat walking (despite having cats at home XD) so I could determine which leg on a custom cat plushie has the white patch because the cat is so fluffy in the pic that it's hard to tell which back leg is which. XD

i'm up to 30 books so far this year, which goodreads says is 5 books behind to meeting my goal. but if i don't meet my goal this year, that's fine.... i'll just try to read more next year than i will have this year. :D

Finished another book! Only 3 more to go in just under 3 months and a couple of them are over 1/2 done already!
...it's definitely not the goodreads goal, but will probably be the first time I've actually finished my (heavily modified) goal in years.

i've read 30 books so far, and my goal is more than 45 (which was last year's total).... but i don't think i'll get to my goal.

so that just means next year my goal is to read more than this year. XD

But you're so close though! XD

Yeah, I don't take stuff with me for my breaks at JoAnn just because I lose track of time too easily, but on my 2 shifts at the museum where I'm at the front desk, I'll bring both a book and a craft project and work on something or read. Because (especially the Tuesday night shift) it's dead. Like....unless someone is a friend of an artist who has an exhibit, is renting a room, or taking a class, no one's going to the art museum during covid.

i don't take breaks at michael's. i get a 15 because my shifts are like 4 hours... but by the time i get in the back and sit down, i'm not going to want to get back up again. so.... i don't.

but i do stop at fast food places with tables outside for my meals, so i read then. :)

I don't get meals, but I do take the breaks because it gives me a chance to buy a water or even eat something because I don't have time to stop and eat an actual meal between my jobs so I can buy a pack of cheese its on my break so I'm less hangry until I can get home and make dinner. And also because they don't let people skip them except by accident when we're busy and they forget.

if i'm scheduled for a meal, and the shift is long enough, i'll take it. but when we're busy, and i'm only there for 4, 4-1/2 hours, i won't, because then we need to pull someone off another task to cover the register because it's busy. it feels like it's been Black Friday since June.
