Actually since I don't put any detail into it like eyes and such, I could probably turn it into an owl if I wanted. It has owl-y ear-tuft things. :<

you have to sand them!? i thought you just glaze it and then kilm it

It's air-drying clay, so I want to get rid of some of the fine cracks in the outer shell, which come from the outer shell drying/hardening before the inner parts do.

So I have to go sculpting > sanding > refining (for larger cracks) > painting (psychedelic kitty!) > varnishing > photographing and pride-having! :'D
