I believe in the idea that tattoos can be a form of grieving and keeping a deceased loved one with you so I'm getting one for my Grandfather, and when the unwanted inevitable happens, one for my Grandmother too.

lol to each their own. Tattoos are not for people who can't tolerate pain. It ranges in pain depending on where and how big the tattoo is, so if you want a tattoo and not a lot of pain, avoid putting tattoos over areas with thin skin over bone.
