Espy walked slowly into the camp, and looked at the havoc that had been wreaked. She wandered over to Dacorum, staring for a bit, wondering whether she should heal him or not...

This was the captain who she had nearly attacked a few months earlier...A quick hit right now would do him in.

Instead, she took out parchment and quill, and hurriedly wrote a message to her brother and Cronis.

Taishi who had been sleeping through out the comotion opened her eyes and streched, she sniffed at the air and her eyes went wide as she smelt blood "An attack?!" her voice showing she couldn't believe such a thing would happen after such a short time, but then again this was war.

Standing out of her cloud she ran to where the blood smelt thickest, stopping in her tracks as she seen Espy "What happened?" she asked kneeling next to Dacorum her eyes changing to be emerald "Morning Earth...." she began raising her hands to the sky her hair turning a sky blue "Re-newing sky... you both and I..." she brought her hands close to herself "Trust in me as I trust in you, rebirth and renew" one of her hands went to where Dacorum's heart was "Trust in me as I trust in you, your health reborn... your strength renewed" her voice sounding almost trance like, the hand close to her would begin glowing with a golden light while the one on Dacorum glowed a gentle green, her eyes closing as the viscus black poison slowly began to seep from Dacorum;s form (With any luck) her eyes closing as his skin began to pale slightly, she knew if she told espy what she was doing that she would go againt it but she wanted to save him no matter the cost

The poison in Dacorum's body is unlike anything Taishi has ever dealt with before -- indeed, it's something Dacorum has never dealt with before either. Taishi is able to mend some of the damage the poison has dealt, and she can help Dacorum's body flush it out, but the poison isn't that easy to neutralize.

Taishi opened her eyes the sun's within her eyes seeming dulled "That isn't normal" her voice faint although she seen a bit of improvement "At least your not going to die Captain Dacorum..." she giggled weakly "We still have a fight to finish" she said remembering the fight in that strange arena they started but never finished.

She moved onto his form her hand moving to her headband removing it, revealing what would seem to be a decrotive gem, but it was pulsating light showing looks can be disceiving, lowering herself she allowed the crystal to touch his forehead "Forgive me captain and please trust what I am about to do" she whispered, with that she closed her eyes "Hand to claw..." she began clasping one of his hand in her own that now had longer nails almost talon like "Claw to hand" she continued doing the same with the oppisite hand "Gem to crystal" with that the crystal started pulsating golden light "Life and light to understand..." she was begining a rite that hadn't been done within her race for millenia and here she was doing it with a non dragonic being "Listen to our hearts, they beat as one..." her form began to glow and engulfed them both "Fused together it's only begun!" with the final word the glowing dulled and taishi floped beside him a gentle smile on her face. She knew he wasn't going to die, like she knew she was not.

She had no idea how the incantation was going to work between them but within two of her race it intertwined there life strings allowing them to call on each others strengths, it was only done in emergence;s and she seen no greater emergencey than saving his life "once more captain forgive me" she said her eyes moving to the skys above, she was exhausted and it was shown

Even if Dacorum DIDN'T trust Taishi -- and he does; she's proven where her heart lies -- he wouldn't really have the strength at this point to resist.

As the spell completes, Taishi feels an incredible, overwhelming feeling of divinely-granted near-invulnerability wash over her as Dacorum's greatest strength is shared... but it fades as quickly as it comes. The spell is still in effect, and working as intended, but Dacorum's strength is that far depleted. Taishi will have a great burden to bear while Dacorum is on the mend.

Taishi looked to Dacorum and giggled a little 'You do trust me don't you captain?' her voice appearing in his mind 'I do not fight for the divine nor for the corupt... I am a nutral being, i wish to protect what is dear to me... it seems you are one of them or it wouldn't have worked' her voice once more in his mind, her eyes closing 'We are intertwined until we die, there is no way of undoing, and it wasn't taken lightly... I knew what I done and would have done it again in a heartbeat" the voice in his head gentle and warm, her eyes opened as she looked to the sun once more "gokai dai're uizi" she said weakly, to Dacorum's amazment he would have heard the words 'Gokai be blessed' as if she had spoken in common, the smile remaining "I'll protect you and fight while you mend Dacorum" her voice gentle her hand going to his

You fight to protect, not to destroy or for your own gain. That is why I trust you.

Taishi hears Dacorum worrying about what Ascellus might think about this development, though, as well as the implications of this bond to the execution of his duties -- if he has to protect her to preserve his own life on the battlefield, that could interfere with his ability to protect others.

He hopes that she gained enough of his resilience to make that less of a concern.

Taishi turned his eyes towards him and chucked a little "I can hear your thoughts like you can hear mine" she say quietly as to guard it "I might look like a defenceless twelve year old but I am far from it... i am 582 years old the defender of my race" she say with a short sigh "I know best enough how to make sure not to die so the bond will not interfear with your duties nor mine" her voice was low as she spoke through her exhaustion but she sat up slowly "I am not a frontline soldier, unless I am really annoyed, I normally rely on my magic and on the element" moving her free hand she would help Dacorum sit up using the wind 'if we manage to get stronger, then I'll help you... but the training is going to require alot of trust as you would be riding on my back' her voice would appear once more as she placed the image of a beautiful white dragon with what seemed to have feathered wings

I don't believe we're going to have time for that... He picks up a slab of shattered earth. This world doesn't have much time left if something doesn't change, and fast. Ascellus guide us.

Taishi stood quickly but fell down again "To fast" she laughed a little she wasn't stable not hovering like she normally did but that could be easily taken care of sitting in a cloud of light for a few hours "Why did the war begin Dacorum?" her voice sounding innocent, she trully didn't know and it showed in her dull but gentle eyes

Only Ascellus and Braen know the full scope of the reason... it is their war, and the worlds have been dragged into it. What I do know, though, is that it seems to be a power grab by the Dark God -- an attempt to throw the world into chaos under his rule. The feud between the gods is a long and dark story, a war stretching back for centuries.

(I'm going to have to come back later to tell the full story. I can't find the stuff that was written up explaining the history, which would be something that most mortals from this world would know as a legend.)

I am here to train to decimate Ginger! The Divine shall be victorious! Muahahaahaa!

Taishi brought her hand to her face placing one finger to her lips "reminds me of Chrystel and Barthenz... they are the goddess of magic and the god of warriors." she began thinking on her races history "they feud over what is more important to my race and will do anything in their power to see the other one waste into nothing... they never realize how it effects the people who die for them" she say laying back on the grass once more looking to the clouds "my race is unique, we have five forms half a dozen ways of speaking such as how a child would say something to a parent and how a parent would say the same thing to another adult" she say gently, she forgot through there bond he could pick up whatever information he wanted bar the secrets in the crystal book she normally read from "We have three suns, four rea...." she trailed off as it dawned on her that if he wanted to know he would just look for it through their bond or ask her "Are you angry at what I've done Dacorum?" she asked, it was to late now to reverse it but she wanted to know what he thought of the situation, she didn't even know how she took to him just calling him by his name and not by a title also. He would find out through their bond her name wasn't Taishi but Umarii

Angry, no... Concerned, perhaps; it may have been a bit rash, not fully thought through. But you acted selflessly and decisively.

Taishi smiled "No reason to be concerned and what was there to think about, if you remained like that you would have died, our immune systems working together seem to be killing off this poison" she yawned slightly sitting up once more she slipped her hand into his her eyes closing "I was raised to protect that which is important to me Dacorum, so to me what I done was not rash but my nature" she say gently "I respect you and care for you... I couldn't bare to see you like that let alone think about your death" she say quietly lowering her head almost like she was ashamed to speak of it, she was infact scared of what he thought about it, but she was forbidden to lie and she naturally spoke her mind

Espy had turned away in annoyance as Taishi patched up Dacorum, and now hastily stuffed her message in her sash as she noticed something out of the corner of her eyes. The other two had been too busy trying to heal wounds that they hadn't noticed a group of stragglers making a run towards the edge of the camp.

The last few of the Corrupt soldiers?

Espy ran forward to intercept and threw a small but heavy dagger into the chest of the foremost soldier, then disappeared momentarily and seemingly materialized behind another. She shoved the katar into the back of his throat and grabbed his collar. In one swift movement, she threw the soldier careening into a third man and brought the blade slashing across the throat of the fourth and last.

Making her way behind the last survivor, she kicked him and then held three fingers to his nose and mouth, effectively choking him unconscious.

(Ok, I found it slightly awkward that no one mentioned the bodies lying around or the soldiers that Trey left o.O And that last move that Espy made is actually possible...there's a really long story behind that, haha...)
