"If Far's already supposed to be here, he didn't know about what happened to Zero and if he shows up with Zero the way he is, he might lose it." Matt said. "Does he have his meds?"

He looked back over his shoulder as he ran.

One reached into Oliver's pocket and pulled out the bottle, his face solemn.

"Let's just hope he doesn't find Beyond's room-!" Next stared to say before Matt was suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.

The redhead turned as he realized that Naveen had halted in place, his face white and his eyes wide.

"...Naveen?" Matt called gently. "...Oh please don't pop."

"B... Beyond is... is here?" Naveen whispered.

"...Um," Next breathed, looking between Matt and Naveen.

"Go find Zero," Ender told Matt, steering Naveen away from him and Next. "We'll take care of him."

"Please be careful." Matt pleaded before taking off down the hall.

C came over to Ender and Naveen's side.

"This is really bad." He murmured. "I mean, this thing is about to explode."

"Aren't you the pillar of strength." Oliver rolled his eyes.

Ender gave a small sigh and shook his head. "Come on... lets get you something to eat, Naveen. You look starved."

"To death!" One piped up, but was ignored.

--Scene Change--

Near gave a small sigh as he fought waking up... was far too comfortable and he didn't want to face everything that he knew was going on outside of Mello's arms.

Besides, if he stirred now, it was likely that he'd wake Mello as well...let's face it, it was a certainty. Even when they had first started sleeping together, Mello had been in-tune with Near's sleeping patterns. It was like they had simply synched up from the start. When they were little and had sleepovers- long before Mello's competitiveness had driven him to resent Near with a fiery passion -Mello had been up with Near in the morning. But right now he was sleeping peacefully- exhausted -with his arms around Near- warm and protective.

With a small smile, Near pressed his face against Mello's chest and listened to the heart beating strongly inside... he wished his own would match those beats, wished that he were strong enough to do all the things that he and Mello wanted to do...

"...You're smiling." Mello mumbled softly. "...You seem sad."

He wrapped around Near a little more and shifted on the bed to get a little more comfortably. He winced slightly as he felt the IV cord in his wrist and realized that apparently K had come in and hooked him up while he was asleep- the sneaky bitch.

"I didn't mean to wake Mello," Near whispered, burring his face even closer into the blonde's shirt. "My apologies..."

"It doesn't matter, I can go right back to sleep." Mello sighed. "K's got me pumped fully so many downers to keep me from exploding again."

"Exploding...?" Near asked, pulling away to look up at Mello curiously. "What happened?"

"I came to see you." Was all Mello offered. "To see my husband."

He opened his eyes and Near saw that they were bloodshot and foggy from the drugs being pushed into the blonde boy.

Smiling a little - although sadly - Near reached up and ran his fingers over Mello's cheeks. "I love you..."

"I love you too." Mello replied without hesitation and even smiled fondly- maybe it was just the combination of fatigue and all the sedatives, but it was by no means a terrible thing.

Near's smile slowly faded as he realized something. "Wait... why is Mello on sedatives? Did Mello get hurt!?"
