I heard a radio show one time talking about arranged marriages. the guys was talking about how sometimes, when you look for people to date, you never really find the right person because you're not thinking about personality and compatibility all the time, it's more about attraction. and that's why blind dates and dating websites sometimes work out really well, because they take into consideration common interests and personality types and all that junk.
I don't think I'd be opposed to going on a date set up my my mom, but I wouldn't blindly marry someone she wanted me to. I think if your mom wants to set up dates for you it would be a good idea, but ultimately you should choose who you marry.

Atleast you aren't trying to be forced into a relationship/marriage with someone not of the gender that you are attracted to. @_@ My grandma always points out guys to me when I go places with her and she's always like "Those look like some nice boys! Go talk to them. Maybe you'll hit it off!" She thinks it's a phase. D8

That'd be awkward. You'd be introducing him to someone and be like "This is my husband... what was your name again?" |D

@ Chi, I dunno. She's really religious so she doesn't believe it's actually "possible". It's just something I apparently do to piss God off or something. According to her.

@Lucid: Yeah, it is good sometimes, like me and my boyfriend we met from Myspace, it wasn't looks or anything we didn't see each other.. xD But I am now physically attracted to him not only his personality. lol

@ Chi, Hmm maybe. xD I introduced her to my last gf without actually saying it was my gf because I didn't know how she'd react and I think she did get the hint cuz later she asked me how I met her and typical questions of a relationship. It was weird. O_o

That's possibly why, my boyfriend is marking his territory by nibbling on my neck to show that I'm his and nobody else. If somebody is trying to take me away from him, he will be like the beast from Beauty and the Beast. xD

My mom was forced into a marriage, and she wouldn't do that to me because she wouldnt want me to go through the same things she is going through.

@ Chi, probably. xD She is pretty crazy sometimes! Like, she put the dish strainer in the oven and I had no idea it was in there and turned on the oven and it melted everywhere. D8 Who puts plastic things in an oven?!
