I'm Tai. An instinctual and a bit of a follower of the old ways. I'm only in my twenties but have been studying for a long time. I'm friendly and hopefully approachable so feel free to ask me anything or contact me for any reason. (Especially if you wish to contribute):D
By the way, I do live in England so I may not be online at the same time as you but feel free to post ^_^

Chickweed, or Stellaria Media L is well known among a great many herbalists as being a fantastic both for medicinal purposes as well as a nutritional supplement. Flowering form March until the following autumn, it is also quite famed for the fact that it sleeps the "Sleep of Plants." This is an old herbal term for the fact that the leaves shift every night, folding over to cover and protect tender buds and new shoots as though sheltering them in sleep. Chickweed is also often added to salads or added to cooking pots as a delightful spice, and is often compared to spinach in matters of taste and texture, as well as for the nutrients that it provides. Sometimes uncooked leaves are also served with dandelion leaves in salads.
Nutritionally, Chickweed is mineral-rich, containing ascorbic acid, calcium, flavenoids, magnesium, potassium, zinc and numerous other beneficial minerals well known for aiding in achieving a general state of well being. Medically it has been used as an astringent and a diuretic, and is reputed to be quite useful as an expectorant and laxative. In the past, it was also used often for wound treatment. Some studies have also shown that it can be quite useful in treating post partum issues, functioning as a depurative, emmenagogue, and galactogogue.
Folklore: It has been said that there is no place in the world where Chickweed is not to be found. It is a native of all temperate and north Artic regions, and has naturalised itself wherever men have settled.

__________________________________________________ ________________________ Money Spell: This may be done at any time, but preferably at the same time each day or night.
You will need a Green Candle and a White Candle.
The Green candle represents the money, and the white candle represents you.
Make sure you anoint the candles with oil first, thinking of your desire for money to come to you. Set the candles on your alter or table 9 inches apart. After doing this say:
"Money, money come to me
In abundance three times three
May I be enriched in the best of ways
Harming none on its way
This I accept, so mote it be
Bring me money three times three!"
Repeat this for nine days.
Each day move the white candle one inch closer to the green candle.
When the candles touch, your spell is finished.
Make sure you visualize the money pouring in from the universe.

This is the Children of Artemis. They're a legitimate group and have decent information.
I was hoping to find a link to information on Kate West. She is a Wiccan high priestess and an excellent writer. Any of her books are wonderful for beginners and are very easy to get hold of.
Welcome :)
Feel free to ask any questions you like.
Sorry about disappearing. I'm in England so it was quite late last night.
What attracted you about paganism? If you don't mind me asking :)
Ah I see...yeah you posted really early my time so I'm guessing you're not on anymore o.o'
But anywho, I don't really remember what attracted me to paganism, I had taken up interest in it like, 7 or so years ago X3. It was just a matter of figuring out if it was right for me :3.
That and my mother is Catholic so it's not like I can do research all that easily or anything >.>'
I kinda have to watch what I do cause I still live with her so obviously she can't know I'm Pagan D:
XD Hihi-- yes, my family is :3 We celebrate Yule instead of Christmas, all the other stuff, yadda yadda XD It's all very normal for me.
It's so strange to hear people calling Paganism "Satanism"-- the ignorance is sad. Pagans don't even believe in Satan. I heard someone go off on a rant the other day about how disgusted she is with people who call themselves pagan, and how they're really Satanists. She wouldn't listen to me at all when I tried to tell her that we don't even believe in Satan, or that Paganism is mostly an earth-based religion.
I love the ranters. Especially as I know a Lucifarian or two that should show them that pagans are the nice ones that will, more often than not, turn the other cheek.
