"C'mon." Mail reversed on Nate and pulled him out a door and into the stairwell.

He turned and started up the steps briskly- helping the other boy along.

Nate followed him quietly, too focused on catching his breath to try and figure out where they were going.

Mail stopped and came off a few floors up from the party, which brought them into a long corridor- leading to a large apartment at the end of the hall. He pushed the door open and stepped inside- pulling Nate in.

"You're out of breath." The redhead commented.

"Whose... apartment is this?" Nate inquired with a deep frown, finally taking notice of their sudden departure. "Chester... has my... inhaler..."

"You're having an attack?" Mail blinked. "I'll make some black coffee...would he keep a spare in here somewhere?"

He wandered into the kitchen.

"This is his place-!?" Nate wheezed. "I... there's a spare in... my jacket... check... the closet...!"

Mail hurried into the closet- pulling it open.

"Which one's yours?" He asked urgently.

"The blue hoodie!" Nate snapped, coming over and helping him look. "How many coats does he have in here-!?"

The two of them pushed through the seemingly endless jackets for a moment.

"It's not here!" Nate groaned. "Where'd he put it?"

"I'm gettin' you the caffeine!" Mail said- running back into the kitchen.

The door came open and Mihael looked around.

"...Nate?" He called.

"I'm in here!" Nate called, still shuffling through things in the closet. "Trying to find my cooaaagh!"

He tripped over something on the ground - an umbrella by the looks of it - and hit the ground hard.

...Hit the ground. Not the back of the closet.

Blinking in confusion and surprise, Nate propped himself up on his elbows and looked down at the carpeted floor beneath him. It was deep green with a boring tan pattern that reminded him of an old folk's home.

Looking up, he gave a small glance around. He appeared to be in some sort of hallway... it was dark, only a night-light every so often around to light the way.

"Uhh..." He offered as he sat up, before he looked down and realized he was wearing a white button down, instead of the shirt he had been wearing earlier. "What the hell!?"

"Who's up?" Came a voice and a light began to come around the corner.

Jumping in alarm, Nate turned back toward the closet and quickly slipped inside, pulling the door closed.

He turned to go back into Chester's apartment, ready to have Mail and Mihael not believe him, only to hit a wooden wall. Panic filling him, the boy pressed his hands against it, his eyes wide.

Okay, he had to have hit his head... this was all a dream!

"Hello?" It sounded like an elder man and Nate could see light shining in through the cracks in the closet doors. "Anyone here?"

The teenager's breath caught in his throat and he felt his lungs constrict even more. He started to wheeze desperately and rather loudly, which only made the panic rise even more.

Who ever this guy was... he didn't want to get caught! But he needed air... he needed his inhaler! God damn Chester for taking it-!

The doors came open and an old man looked in on Nate- blinking behind his small- round glasses and shining if flashlight in on the boy.

"...Near?" He frowned before adding urgently, "What's wrong!?"

Wincing as the light hit his sensitive eyes, Nate gripped his chest and tried to peer past it at the man. The voice sounded familar... but he couldn't place it.

Wait... had that guy just called him Near?

"C...can't... b...br...breathe...!" He wheezed out, stumbling toward the man in hopes that the guy was smart enough to at least get him to a doctor. "H...help...!"
