Well, that is good. My family is pretty much on the risk of being poor... but we manage, and here goes my mom buying me new laptop for christmas, with a cell phone, and that new table thing for the wii system. I cant believe she spent that much haha

I don't really know much of my family's financial situation, except that they've had to cut back quite a bit recently.
I'm doing pretty well as far as students go, but I'm trying to save as much as I can so I can get a car and not have to take out any more loans.

Save yourself from student loans. That is the best advice I could ever hope to give you. owo;

Student loan debt is the worst...

yeah. o.o I only had to take out $7,000 of low-interest government loan to get by for this year, and I think I'll be able to support myself from here on. even that much worries me a bit, but I'm really glad I won't have to take out more.
if I'm really lucky (and maybe if I don't get a car) I might try to start paying off bits before I even graduate, to minimize the interest I have to pay. but I'm a ways off of that point, and still have to worry about saving enough for tuition...

Oh wow. D:
I haven't taken any loans out yet...
My parents have...

@ Lucid, try to pay off the accrued interest before you have to start paying it back, otherwise that gets added to the loan total and then you'd have to pay interest on interest! D:

I don't like interest on interest! ;o;
I do have to make sure I have enough money before I can do that though. if I focus on paying off interest and don't have money for tuition or rent, more loans for Lucid! @.@ interest on interest is not as bad as more loans.

That just sounds like the worst situation ever. D:
