"I wasn't going to try," Wyatt told him.

"Hello," Kris breathed, causing Haru to jump and look up at her. "Haji... um... Haji..." She sighed. "I'm pleased to meet you."

"Pleased to meet you," Haru breathed, scrambling to his feet and giving a low bow, which Kris returned. He looked at her in surprise.

"Our children are Japanese," Kris explained, smiling weakly. "We try to teach them about their culture."

"Maybe you could give us a hand." Chris chuckled.

"Ground them if they get anything below a 100%," Haru snorted, rather bitterly, before he flopped back into the chair.

"You're not the first person to say that," Kris sighed, taking a seat beside him. "That's Voss, by the way - I know, he's not as cute in person."

"Thanks hun." Chris gave a thumbs up.

"Welcome!" She called back, smiling.
