Ya it seems school is planing on calling human services on us because we refuse to let them give my son his medication.... The social worker at school threatened me with this on the phone yesterday. So now we have to take him out of school and try to homeschool him.. Which is gonna cost us alot of money to do it properly. Thank god my husband is home during the days to help with this.

Eeep, that sucks! Have you tried to explain to them the reason why your son can't take any meds? I thought that was the entire reason schools need parents' permission to give medicine - in case there is a situation in which the kid shouldn't take meds. Uggh.

Demon- That's what we are thinking of doing too. He has a laptop with a webcam so we think it might work better for him instead of us trying to do it ourselves. I just hope it works. He has ADHD and impulse control disorder which makes it hard to teach him. He gets easily overly frustrated.

Pisces- That's the thing, we are giving him his meds at home but they think I'm doing something wrong because he is always overly tired. He slept til 12 Tuesday so he didn't go into school and then yesterday he was sleeping in class and the only thing he did different was undertake his meds which wouldn't do that to him. School thinks I'm a bad parent because we seprate his medication in a pill container that is seprated by everyday of the week and he takes only one day at a time. I trust him enough to take the right amount since he hates taking them.

What sort of ADD/ADHD meds is he on? Because I was on something for my ADD a while ago and I didn't know it until they took me off, but it made me SLEEEEEEPY. Once it was fully out of my system I was more awake during the day.

And that's stupid. The school should trust the parents to be able to medicate their child correctly. -__-;

I know. I'm doing everything right and again I get in trouble for it. ; ;

He takes risperdone which does make him sleepy but not this much. I'm wondering if he is going through a growth spurt right now or if he is getting a sleeping disorder because it's getting worse. He's even gone to bed by 5 already this week because of how tired he was and I had to wake him up in the morning.
