IMO, your avi is a clutter when I don't see a trace of skin. XD

I have noticed a lot of people here think a lot of clutter. I do not think some of the avies I have had were cluttered, but some people had commented that they were. I just shrugged because they are entitled to their opinion and I like my avatars.

I think clutter is overly excessive items, layering on top of each other so that only a few pieces of the item show, as well as taking up the whole space on and around the avatar.

Clutter is when I as an artist... have to think too much to decipher what items you actually HAVE on. xD

I love clutter. It's nice to see a color balanced avi without a trace of skin showing and a ton of things layered over each other. It gives a nice effect. Of course it's important for the items to go together too. Like fluffy bunnies and rainbows then a scythe and grim reaper clothes would be a bit odd. I'm not very good at clutter though so I usually end up with simpler avis. Of course I like all types of avis to be color/item balanced unless it's cosplay, following a certain theme, etc.

I like skin in generally because I find that hot XD SO to me. Clutter isn't my friend.

I think I usually tend to alternate between cluttery and skin-showing avis.
today, I have clutter.

For me, clutter is when one can no longer distinguish the anatomical form of the avatar. 'Busy' avatars are fine, I've seen lots, and I don't mind item mush as long as it looks complimentary overall, but when I can't the general shape of what I'm looking at, or if that's a third arm coming out the side with feathers growing off of it, then I call it clutter.

Most of my bottoms are those female boxers and then pair them with the tall boots, it's some way to show my belly and thighs. Then I have some sort of weapon to throw in for like a hero of some sort.

Or I wear pants and then boots, but either way it's some way to show off my avi's flat belly. S jealous of )X

I don't like color, some people know how to make it look good though. I think it's boring seeing the same types of avatars though. like on ernya, everyone had the "cluttered" type theme going on. it just gets boring..

I haven't really seen a cluttered avi while here, so I wouldn't worry.

I'm really really picky about clutter...for example, this here for me is already borderline clutter. If I'm not cosplaying, my avi usually has at most 15 items on, not including the face and hair.

I'd take cosplay as an exception.. :>

Espy's example I would place as borderline cluttered, but I'd definetly let someone that cute slide.
