ours is based off the farming year, and it sounds like yours is at least somewhat based on season too. =P it's a completely irrelevant system now because kids aren't used as free farm labor anymore, but I do appreciate getting the summer off.

**shrug** I don't mind the way we do it. I hate going to school in warm weather because I get lethargic and don't want to focus on anything. short breaks are always nice, but having a long one is good for me.

*pounces on lucid and ashy* then some school districts here have too many kids so they have to use track systems and will have 3 tracks and you get like 2 week breaks so that not all of the kids are at school at the same time. it's kinda silly if you ask me.... but i guess it works.

Airi, I think it's time for me to start actually learning my new address. XD it's getting to the point where my current one isn't very relevant.

Me too! It was so hard to figure out summer schedules because they'd get like 3 weeks off for summer and then the rest of the time they were in school.

I really want to get practicing RIGHT NOW, but I should really be doing my projects that are due in like a week. D: on the other hand, I'm really just wasting time posting anyway...

*giggles* well they get three weeks ever 2 months or three months? i can't remember which..... but yea. and yay for pixeling!!!!

that's still not enough though. D: I would just feel consistently burned out. three weeks is like Christmas Break, which is a nice break but it's never enough to prevent my lethargic spring feelings.

Yeah i know! I have no idea how they do it.... but i guess they get breaks more often than we do.... so that might help it?

yeah, that could be it. it could also be getting used to the system. we were raised on this one so we're used to having a big long break. or maybe they're just the sort of people who like it better. my RA is insane and has gone to BYU for like 6 consecutive semesters or something, and is planning on going straight on through to graduation. @.@ I think I would die.

I would die as well! I am dying. But yea my cousins all grew up on it.

But christmas time is also you guys' summer.
