Short story isn't one sentence. >.> 600 pages would be a book, 500 - 1.5k words seems to surfice, but there isn't a limit on how many words you need to put.

There are one sentence stories: "Once upon a time there was a princess and she lived happily ever after."
But okay, I'll keep that in mind while writing a story.
