when i ground, i imagine i'm turning into a tree, rooting deep into the ground. i push the negativity out through my 'roots' and pull positive energy in through the top of me. it's to get rid of the yucky energy and re-charge.

We did that at witchfest at the start of the day when I went. :)

Ouch, i've been there too. And my boyfriend nearly broke his elbow in Iceland when we visited the geysers (?); he got too close and slipped on the ice, his elbow swelled right up, we all thought he'd done something more serious than bruise the bone :D

I can't hug a tree right now, unfortunately, as the great British weather system is doing its usual trick; raining like all hell ^.^ Hope it's not like this at the solstice!

And what's wrong with hugging trees in the rain? Sounds very relaxing.
