Not entirely related, but I just thought of it, I saw a lecture from Richard Dawkins (biologist, writer, famous for being an atheist, maybe you've heard of him?) in which he theorized that eventually the human race is going to evolve past sexual desire. I can't remember the details unfortunately, since it was quite a while ago, but it was interesting.

@Suzerain, it seems like a credible theory considering that the major part of the sex drive is related to "passing on genes" or at least that's what they told me in Biology ^^; But then again I can't even have kids and I still have sexual urges so...who knows?

Yeah, I think he was talking on an evolutionary scale, so not in the foreseeable future.

At the moment, we're all still poorly-evolved primates. :p (As Christopher Hitchens likes to say, some more poorly than other. :p)

I hate the super dirty stuff, personally. Softcore porn is the way to go. There's nothing sexier than two people who are passionate about each other and "making love" rather than straight-up doin' it. Plus it's nicely choreographed and a lot less icky to watch.

I wouldn't doubt that, but I've also heard theories about all humans becoming bisexual. I've noticed that it seems to be going one of two ways for everyone I talk to on the 'net: People are becoming sexually ambigious, or have no desire for sex at all. I've also noticed that the people who feel either way seem extremely well-spoken and intelligent, and the people who are stubbornly stuck in straightville "tlk liek this lolol1."
