@ Airi - I know! I seriously thought he was at least 30. I guess that's a point in his favor for maturity *sighs* Guess I need to swap my thinking process around and just focus on thinking of him as a potential friend now. I did it once before with someone I'm friends with now when it became clear we wouldn't work as more than that. Still, kinda sad. :(

Hehe, I guess so Sushi. But he's almost 10 years younger than me. That's just... a lot. We do have a lot on common and have some fun convos though so... I guess I'll just keep talking to him and see where it goes. I just doubt it'll go anywhere now. I had another guy his age (that I'm not at all interested in) tell me once how "weird" it would be for someone his age and someone my age to date. So I'm kinda expecting him to have the same view.

Silly peoples just need to get over it......

My parents are 8 years apart, dad being the younger one. Of course, we're talking 60s, 70s here, so not many really cared. My whole family is stuffed with younger men. ;)

I've always liked older guys though. The youngest guy I've liked was my age. I tend to like 3-6 year older. And now this guy's 26. I have no idea how to respond to that information, lol.

I've never though much about age since most people I hang out with have been younger than me. Seems odd from an intimate point of view I suppose. Would 28 be better? Some numbers just sound preferable to others I find.

Ah well, such is life. I'm not going to stop talking to him or anything. It's hard to find guys to talk to that like nerdy things like me, lol. So, we'll keep talking and if things start looking like they're going anywhere I'll worry about the age thing then. ^^

I know what you mean. I have a friend who's a few years younger than me and there's lots of stuff we can talk about, especially on the geekier end, but there were some atrributes about him that got to me, which I'm pretty sure were age related. That's gone away of course, seeing as we've been friends for years now.

Funny thing is, my best friend is the exact opposite. She always liked guys her age or a year or two younger. In college, she freaked out when a 21 year old guy liked her because he was "too old". She was 20. XD Of course, now she's married to someone 5-6 years older than her, lol. So, maybe I'll be the opposite: always liking older guys but ending up with someone younger, lol

Well I have one sister married to a younger man and another sister soon-to-be married to an older man so I suppose I can go either way in those cases.
