I'm just trying to work on the idea and help devolop the world that the story is going to be in before I will be able to really write the story.

My mom worked for WalMart for years and just last year or so they wanted her to step down from her management position over dairy to being a cashier. Um, no. That's like a slap in the face. She worked hard to get where she was.

Why did they want her to step down?

Supposedly she wasn't working fast enough. The problem wasn't her speed, it was that they kept hiring stupid teenagers to work with her who didn't want to do the work right the first time and she would have to go back over their work as well as do her own. So they wanted her to cashier. She told them no and quit without notice. Not the best idea, but it did mess them up for awhile.

Yeah... A friend of mine's mom was fired when she stayed home to take care of a sick child.

Sounds a hell of a lot like the company I work for right now.

Who are you working for?

Yep, at Wal-Mart they always want you to work more than you possibly could. In my final days there I was getting 10-15 hours a week and being reminded how "important" my job was so I needed to be speedy in my few hours there. Huh, if I'm so important I'm sure you can spare more than 15 hours a week to employ me right..?

I work for "Hub retail" . They're the biggest jerks I've ever had the misfortune to work for.

Yeah. Walmart just doesn't get it... I can only wonder how long they can continue to act like this.

In the current economic climate they can do basically anything they want :(

Well I'd love to rant about Wal-mart a bit more but I think I'll go play some games a while and come back later tonight. Take care Luna and Taiania -hugs for both-

Everything and anything. Drinks, sweets, crafts, candles, kitchen stuff, curtains... etc.

And so they are undercutting everyone else around them I guess?
