It is fun! And you're an awesome writer, so you should be great at it.

There's not a whole lot. Generally you need a summary of the RP's theme and story, its setting, and a description of races/classes/jobs, whatever is involved. Basically just compile enough information for the players to work from. Most that I've been in have required a profile of each player's character to be submitted before they'll be allowed to play, but the more casual ones just allow people to jump in and develop their character's personalities and backstories as they go along. If you'd like, I can link you to one or two of my old RP's as a reference.

And, yeah, that might be helpful, just to get a feel for how much info is needed and such.

The first one I closed because I was getting annoyed with a few things, mostly the writing style of some people and others attempting to take over and change the theme/rules. xD;; Like I said, I'm a picky mod...

The second one just didn't have enough people interested in it and never got under way.

I'm a bit worried ready your rules, though. Are those precautionary, or are people actually inclined to act that way unless you spell it out for them?

@Cupcake, you have a cute (with bloody features) avy over there too :p It's probably because I'm not familiar with it but what exactly is god-modding? I probably know but it would be nice to have an expert tell me :p

Bleh... unfortunately they're written from experience, but if you specify "literate," then most roleplayers who show up to join will already know the basics. I also prefer to have character profiles sent in before they join so I can get a quick glimpse of that person's writing style and whether or not they're gonna be trouble.

You can really do yours up however you'd like, mine are just put together from watching how other people do their thing.

Edit: Serra, god-modding is when you take control of another person's character in any way - like saying what they see or do. It's also when your character is "godly" and can't be hurt or have any flaws. And I'm not really an expert, just well-seasoned. xD

Well, the thing is, I empathize with your feelings on the subject, so I would need to include rules like that, I think.
