I'm only going to my local SF convention in my city this year - as most times lately.

Conventions do tend to get expensive...especially when you need an hotel room O_o

Yup! Not to mention that gas or tickets of some kind is pretty pricy, too, a lot.

...gas...gas especially ya.... ^^;
And then there's the cosplay itself...and the food you need to eat when at the convention unless you want to have a private visit at the nearby hospital ^^;

@Nefer: Lol, yeah you have to eat at any convention otherwise you'll probably pass out from running around XD

and at AN isn't there a no glomping rule? You have to ask for permission before glomping XD

Ya, there's one.......but it doesn't stop people from hugging you very strongly and then running away before you can even see them ^^; (and I guess it's glomping...I have a very strong back so it's more hugging than glomping to me I guess xD)

Have not seen much in the way of glomps at SF conventions.

Well, like Moon said, you need to ask before glomping someone at AN...so it's ok as long as someone don't decide to yell 'GLOMPING TIME!' and glomp you right before you've calm down from your heart attack xD

Yeah, but just because the fact that they HAVE that rule someone must have gotten hurt or something from getting glomped XD

Oh boy, I pity the one who was the first victim to rabid fangirls (or...fanboys....I think the latter is actually scarier than the first, if that's even possible...)

...rabid fanboys is indeed scary...rabid fangirls are common enough that they aren't so scary compared to the boys...though the way I feel about rabid fans in general...*takes out spiked ball with chain* I'd like to turn them all into bloody smears on the ground/wall.

Normal fans I'm fine with.

@Moon: Oh boy, I'm so with you on that! *take out masamune* Especially those Naruto yaoi fangirls, I mean ok sure, you can be a Naruto fangirl, or a yaoi fangirl, but you don't need to burst everyone's eardrum who's at a one mile radius O_O

@Angel: Indeed, it can..therefore one survival rule when crossplaying a popular bishounen character is to run fast...real fast...or have a friend you can use as a shield nearby xD

@Nefer: Actually I'll defend one yaoi naruto fan girl. She doesn't scream like that and she pulls of one wicked sasuke XD and her gf plays naruto XD
