Why does it bother you? I see it as truth in part...the overcharging for their drinks and having some weird names for their drinks. And the reason people buy it? It is a status symbol.

it's more than that, it's an attempt at bringing italian beliefs over in the form of coffee beverages, it's about quality standards and sitting down to enjoy things^^: and they are not really weird it just isn't english that is all


and before it was status it was paying for something worth drinking even if it was paying /more/ sure it isn't so much anymore bt that was the goal in mind when it was conceived and started

But it's not worth drinking in my mind. It's nasty. Every single time I've had it....it's nasty. I've had better from McDonalds.

So that worth drinking part is opinion.

There was McDonalds coffee way before there was a Starbucks. Not the fancy shit mind you...which usually tastes weird/bad from Mcdonalds...except that one. So don't pull that. Not that any of it is actually good.

And, seattle's best is better than starbucks (though it might be owned by them for all I know)

Quality. Starbucks=worst for the price. At least McDonalds is cheap and bad instead of expensive and bad like Starbucks.

Seattle's Best? Depends on the coffee. Expensive like Starbucks though.

But my favorite stuff is from Pocket's and 3J's actually. Cheap as hell and good. I mixed the hot chocolate and french vanilla cappucino together :3
