And it's not the point in not letting play with it, it could have just taken away, too, not shot in front of the children.

I just don't believe that animals are above humans, or humans are above animals. So many people talk about how animals are this gracious gift to the earth and should be protected and honored and worshiped or whatever, and I don't think that. I think animals and humans are equal, because humans are just as animal as they are. They're just as much a part of the ecosystem as a coyote or a rabbit. If a certain species eats another species out of existence, no one bats an eye because that's nature and that's what nature does, but for some reason if humans do that, it's the most awful thing in the universe.

Now, I love animals and I love nature - I'm a pantheist, I think nature = god and we should respect it and everything. Wolves are my favorite animals in the entire world, I don't like seeing them get killed or hunted and I think the people, like in Alaska, who do the "wolf hunt by helicopter" thing are awful. At the same time, people have just as much a right to make a living - and that living might be as a sheep rancher, or a cattle rancher, or what have you - and if the wolves are overpopulating and damaging the person's livelihood, it's kind of silly to say that the wolves should be the winners and be allowed to roam free, killing all the livestock.

I saw how a doberman run in my apartment building yard, mercilessly kill a cat, injure another one and then run off (yes, he was later captured and put to sleep, but still). He could have as well done with a child if any was near. And I don't say that all dogs must be killed now, too, do I?

But we're talking about pointless, cruel killing here, not surviving and Senyuki is kinda right by saying that about reindeers, if they're allowed to live as wild animals then they're also treated as wild animals by other animals, therefor part of them will look as a prey. It's a normal part of life cycle and those people are just ignoring it and forcing their "we do as we please", killing the wolves and stuff. Plus, wolves catch weakened animals. They would probably die anyway.

Most humans think they are the shit though while animals can go to hell. Not all countries and cities are animal lovers.
