A few months ago I met one of my boyfriend's friends. We quickly became good friends. Whenever I was with my boyfriend, we would take an opportunity to chill with him. He's a really sweet, funny, caring and kind guy. He's a good guy.

I recently helped him get through a few difficult things. He was lead on by a girl, he took her on dates and spoiled her. He really wanted a serious relationship. Then he caught her lying to him, and she pretty much told him that she didn't have any real interest in him. It was shitty. Since he opened up to me, I bitched a bit about my family whenever they annoyed me.

Well. I guess I shouldn't have. Last night he seemed very flirtatious. Not one to remain silent. I sent him a text straight up asking "Are you hitting on me?" to which he replied "I guess so". I felt really... thrown off. Then asked "Do you like me?" I knew he was a really friendly guy, but sometimes I found him a bit too friendly. Then he replied "Just about everything." Confused, I asked again and he replied "To be more direct, yes". I asked why he liked me. He then explained it was because he had gotten to know me better and that I was a really great person.

I nearly shit myself. Well, not really. I wasn't that surprised, but at the same time I almost slammed my head against my wall in frustration. I told him that it was inappropriate to like me. Like... I have a boyfriend. And he's his good friend on top of it. That's so weird. He realised it was bad, and apologized for hitting on me. He actually felt really bad... and then it got extremely awkward.

We haven't spoken since last night, I told him that I don't feel comfortable chilling with him alone anymore.
