You can breed them? That would be awesome! I've only avidly played FF9 and Tactics A2 and in Tactics I can't seem to manage to catch any of them. It sucked because they don't get to be part of your party. The rider class has to grab one off the battlefield.

yes, and you can get colors and rare birds, blue green black and gold on top of the standard yellow<3 gold ones are the goal, they can go anywhere and short of flying are as good as the ship(nearly as fast too)

i guess it depends on the game? on 9 and the chocobo's dungeon they go Kweh.

I don't know but in ffxi which I play the most I definitely hear kwee and other bird noises I can't write.

I want the first tactics but it's impossible to find! My friend offered to set it up on my comp through an emulater though. I'm looking for Tactics War of the Lions as well. I want to have a lion in my party!

We had a gold chocobo in FF9 that could take you to the chocobo kingdom with little slides and waterfalls and things, and a king that was rather rotund and looked more like an angry bird than a chocobo.

Yea, in FFT (the first one) you automatically get a chocobo from the storyline. I had fun getting other monsters too xD

i haven't played ff9 for so long! not in over 10 years

my FFtactics just says Tactics on it.. but i don't remember getting a chocobo through the story line so i guess its not the first one.

What system is it for? The original was for PS1. The remake is for PSP. There is tactics advanced and Advanced 2. A2 is for DS, "Grimoire of the Rift" which I have. Haven't played the original in ages (mostly watched my friend play) and haven't seen T. Advanced. Not sure how many versions, total, there are.

ps1(i had the comp ver, nearly identical but for the steal list) they have a direct carbon of it on the ps3 network now though

@DK, you have an option to save Boco the chocobo on one map, and if you do then it joins you in a later fight.

@Quiet, War of the Lions sounds familiar, but it's not listed on my PS1 box of FFT. Oh...it IS listed on the PSP remake box though.

@DK, Yep, I didn't see any difference playing the game except for the shiny cut scenes and vastly improved translation on the PSP one.

Yeah, War of the Lions is a PSP remake. Suzerain told me about it and that the storyline was much better written than the original. My brother has a PSP that I can borrow. I only have a PS2 and Wii.
