If the weight would be that different just because of it, maybe you need to look into using a different kind of cell itself to maximize the durability of the creature as a whole.

I'm rather biased, though. I enjoy creatures that can take a hell of a beating. They don't die as much. More experiments get done. It's win-win.

If I did that the heart and arteries would suffer. Blood won't be able to flow smoothly enough.

I might be missing something with your reasoning on this one.

The blood is stronger therefore thicker, meaning the artery walls would have to be thinner and more easily broken. The heart would also be thinner and the flow of blood would be very easy to reverse. Likewise if I left the heart/artery walls the same size the blood would form clots and clots would build untill they completely blocked the passages.

Strength doesn't have to come from thickness so much as a reworking of the structure, proteins, and the like. The stronger blood cells would be easy to give more capacity and ability, so you can alter the cell to plasma ratio easily to compensate. The number of blood cells isn't nearly as important as making the ones there work, and keeping the right amount of fluids.

See, we need to live together, so when we get colds we can comfort each other. I've noticed we tend to get them at the same time. this certainly isn't our first joint cold xD
