I have a similar situation to DK. I find it best to just roll along with it and hope they don't ask me to say a prayer or something.

I do the same with every religion. If they are praying or worshiping, etc. I wish not to be rude. I'll be very respectful and close my eyes, bow or whatever they are doing. Just please don't expect me to speak along with you.

However, if I'm in my own personal space, don't criticize me for my lack of religious music or what's on my laptop. I don't mess with you; I expect you not to mess with me.

With my personality I can't just roll with it =w= I tell them I feel uncomfortable about the conversation and then they get all over me (my moms family is worse about it... though with them I played a nice game with them xD they put a crusifix in my hand while i slept so when I woke up I squeezed it so hard it left a few cuts and an nice little imprent.. I ran down stars screaming saying they tried to kill me and showed my hand..

They all started to believe I was some sort of devil x'D

Yeah, best is to not impede and if you want to make an attempt, then go gently. But definitely don't force. D:!

=w= I used the axe body spray stuff and a lighter and made it look like them talking about "holy spirits" was destroying me x'D

But I made it look like that cross damaged my hand owo (went for the vampire thing)

OOH! Wait! I made it look like I was drinking blood! (what I did was took Tomato juice and chili poweder and mixed it together.. to make the tomato juice look darker.. x3 it looked a lot like the blood in the viles the doctors use when taking blood for tests..

ahahaha =w= I told them I cut my self for my blood cause it was so tasty <3

I mainly had the stuff go on my legs.. =w= it warmed them up xD
