It is getting to be similar here. If someone gets mad at you, either jump threads and forget, or just find a new topic.

Yes, but that's not so easy to do if the person who offended you is a super-poster and posts just about everywhere.
Facts About Squiggles

*Squiggles will one day rule the world with his army of rubber ducks*
*Squiggles is the the evil overlord of all bathtub water fowl*
*Squiggles is the bard for the Knights of Chaos*
*Squiggles lives in Reyoki's bathtub*
*Squiggles loves egg rolls*

Exactly. This site, no offense, is a lot smaller than Gaia. You can't just go off somewhere and never see or talk to them again.

Small can also be good-statistically smaller=smaller amount of douchebags.
Default #20
Smaller avatar sites are always better because the communities are smaller and friendlier.

We need to bring that thread back to life.

Trisphee is the only place I never really felt awkward.
I did at first, but, then I kind of just... forced myself into the hearts and pants of all the Trisphites here :3

Yes. I always feel awkward on new sites... or any site in general.
Gaia is a bit easier on me, but that's because I've been there for a few years now, and have friends there.

But sites like these, where the communities are rather smallish and tight-knit? I'm scared senseless. |D
If I do manage to work up some balls to post (like now), I post in threads where I can relate to the topic... then run away.
Hahaha~

I feel like that basically all the time in Gaia. :| That's why I never post there. I'm trying not to be such a wenie lurker here, but my inner lurker doesn't want me to. :< It's also a bit strange seeing my name as the last post in a bunch of threads.
Default #27
@Electric; Haha, Gaia IS kinda scary. xD Especially if you go into the GD, CB, or Towns. /shudder
I'm just as much of a lurker there as I am here.
But it's easier to post there than here; mainly because there's so many users there and your chances of getting your post seen (unless you're a reg) are slim to none. Which is why I post and run--I like the feeling of accomplishment after posting your opinion/idea. Buuut hate it when I get noticed, because then I get nervous when having to reply back. Hahahaaa... >>;

@Whisper; Lol, it's strange for me too. I feel nervous when I see my name as the last post. I feel like I may get in trouble for posting all over the bloody place. > n>;;

I just feel like I'm the only one online and posting. :<
The GD is mess. It's gotten to the point that every forum named General Discussion gets me nervous because I think it'll be just like Gaia's. The only time I would even go into Towns is to pick up the flowers/trash/bugs way out in the middle of nowhere so I don't have to deal with the people.
Default #29
The people in the towns were frightening.

They are. But, they're also easy to troll. |D
The simplest thing like throwing a snowball/squirting them with a water gun pisses them off. It's hilarious! xD

Angry people frighten too much for me to do something like that. > w>; It's more fun to hide and listen in on the conversations.
Default #32
I'm with you on that. I'd rather hide and listen to conversations most of the time lol. While I don't, in this community, talk all over the place and a whole lot. When I do talk I guess my posts tend to be kinda long-ish. I like to think I'm pretty sane. So with all the crazies about me it's tough being so serious all the time xD;

I hated Gaia forums because WHEN I do speak I expect an answer. After a conversation has been going for a few posts though I don't get upset if the other person disappears or is done talking. But my first post is a biggie. No response in a thread after my third post might elicit unkind words from me...no I'm not violent. Really. ^-^;

Topic Question: Yes absolutely! Usually though this is not of my own shyness but sensory and data overload lol I'm definitely one who likes information and looking for them (unless I get bored). So typically I'm so overwhelmed my first day I only post an introduction thread and talk there until I get my grips on site navigation, items, and rules. Trying to post when completely naked gets me very embarrassed >///<
