Oh, that's bad. Ours have been de-clawed in the front since they're indoor cats. We decided when they were really young that they wouldn't go outside since there are big dogs in our neighborhood that roam around unsupervised. We've tried calling animal control about them, but the dogs would mysteriously vanish by the time they arrived.

That's not good, we decided they would be indoor/outdoor cats since I'm allergic, and no one wanted to change the litter box that often...

Yeah...I can't because it literally makes me so stopped up it feels like my head is going to explode, my sister refused to, and daddy didn't want cats to begin with, so mom got stuck with the job and was sick and tired of being the only one. So they went outside...they only come inside if they're hungry, it's gonna rain, or it's winter. During the summer they pretty much STAY outside...

I get paid to do it since nobody else wants to. My brother will do it sometimes if he needs the money.

Lols. My sister did it for a while since she was the first one to get a cat...mom threatened that she would throw the cat out if my sister didn't...it was a VERY empty threat...

I'd like a kitty, but my parents think I would not take care of it.

I'm having 'play time' with the kitten right now.

Besides just caring for a pet, there's a lot of money involved as well. There's keeping its immunizations up to date, flea/tick/parasite control, food, grooming, collar/harness and leash, and the cost of toys and treats. It gets to be really expensive, especially if you don't teach your pet to use the toilet. Don't say it's not possible; it totally is.

You forgot the pet tax on top of all that.
