Really? Developing characters and non-1 characteristic characters. In other words, some flawed views or parsonality characteristics, but overall good...or innocent in one sense, but mischievous in others, or misanthropic but loves children...etc.

Or an idealistic paladin who has their views deconstructed...and recovers to have a more "grey but good" view...or for them to become the villain - "well intentioned extremist"

As Galla said, their characters are not villains, but psychopaths. xD

While Tris is generally a fantasy universe, if you look at some of the DIs we've had in the past, pretty much anything's possible.
