What if we just had no holidays. I would... prefer that. No American holidays.

...I'd like to celebrate the Mid-Autumn and Dragon Boat festivals, though, if only for the food.

How about ones that don't focus on greed?
Kinda like how Christmas has eaten Thanksgiving and is attempting the same of Halloween

halloween is a decent holiday. i sort of wish there were some legends attached to it, though.

Once on Halloween, long ago,
there was a dude who was super into jack-o-lanterns,
then he had an accident on his horse that took his head right off his shoulders!
And then he had to look for a new head, so he kept cutting off people's heads to see if they fit, but none did. >:] and he became a terrifying headless murderer, until he remembered he loved jack-o-lanterns, and found one. He put it on his neck stump and went around freaking the hell out of everyone as he celebrated having a head he liked at last. :] The end.
